Years ago I wore maxi skirts like they were the only thing in my closet. And then I just stopped wearing them altogether. I think I was tired of the look and wanted something new. So it has been ages since I’ve bought a new one. When Chadwicks asked me to choose some pieces to style, the Stargazer Lily Maxi Skirt jumped out to me and I knew I had to have it.

I think this is the perfect summer date night outfit. The skirt is full and dressy, but extremely lightweight. It could be paired with an off the shoulder top like this one, which is all the rage right now.

My daughter was getting rid of this shoulder cut-out top and I decided to snag it for myself. I am so glad I did because I’ve worn it with jeans as well, and it’s a great top for the season. We trade clothes like little boys trade Pokemon cards. (Are those still a thing?!)

The skirt is fairly long on me, so I have to wear it with wedges or heels for it not to drag the ground. I am 5’5″ (and 1/2) and the skirt measures at 41″ long.

The skirt does need to be hand washed, but unless I spill something on it, it’s one of those pieces of clothing that doesn’t need frequent washing.
