It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Coffee Season

‘Tis the season of red, white and green; plus cold nights, lazy mornings and family gatherings. Or as I also like to refer to it as…coffee season! I’m fairly certain that somewhere around the beginning of December through January, my family and I consume enough coffee to keep the farmers, roasters and pretty much anyone in the coffee industry going strong. I love drinking coffee. I love gifting coffee. I love talking about coffee.

I’ll never forget my first Christmas away from home. I was 18 and living in Europe. Although I was a strong, independent woman (okay, I just thought I was one!), a friend of mine sent a package to me for the holidays and I just about burst into tears. It had coffee, a new mug, some cookies and if I remember correctly…a journal and a pack of stickers. (Score!) Best gift ever!

There’s something so soothing and comforting about receiving coffee as a gift. It’s like it says…everything is going to be juuuuuust fine.

When I think of what to gift my coffee-loving family, friends and teachers of my kids (God bless teachers), putting together a coffee gift basket for them sounds absolutely perfect. It shouts, wait no, it says softly…here is something for you to relax with and enjoy the season.

When I was asked by The J.M Smucker Company to blog about Dunkin’ Donuts and gift-giving, first I said heck yeah!, and then I headed over to my local Walmart and purchased several boxes of Dunkin’ Donuts K-cups. I knew putting together a gift basket for a coffee lover was right up my alley!

Walmart has quite the selection of flavors, roasts and seasonal items for every Dunkin’ Donuts® coffee fan. Plus, you can get $1.00 off via Ibotta on Dunkin’ Donuts® Coffee exclusively at Walmart. I had a hard time choosing flavors, but decided on their Original Blend, Hazelnut and Decaf for those cold evenings.

Since the coffee is the star of the show, you just need to add a few items to the gift basket that complement the coffee. For example, cookies, biscotti, a mug and something to stir their coffee with – like a peppermint stick!

Is this is a gift you would like to receive? Yep, me too!

Now, pardon me while I make a cup of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee and sit down to watch Elf for the 1,289th time. It’s time for some Dunkin’ at home! #DunkinToTheRescue

  1. I would absolutely love to get coffee as a gift! However, I do have to disagree with you a little. December through January is not my coffee season. Mine runs pretty much all year long! 😉

  2. Yup, everyday is coffee season here, and while I love the idea of coffee as a gift, in reality, I’m much too picky for that.
