Get Your Dry Winter Skin Ready for Spring with These Three Products

It’s getting close to time to put away those heavy socks, winter coats, gloves and sweaters, and break out the sandals, shorts and cute spring dresses. Let me ask you one question: is your skin spring ready? Oh my goodness…mine isn’t either! I feel your pain and felt you cringe a little, and I’m right there with you. But I have a plan for us, ladies! It involves three products that will help get your skin – from your feet to your arms – spring ready.

(Pssst… keep reading until the end because one reader will win $100 worth of AmLactin Products!)

Is your skin spring ready

It never, ever fails. Every winter the cold, dry air outside, mixed with the dry indoor air wreaks havoc on my skin. Because of the low humidity my skin becomes dry, flaky, itchy, dull and rough and none of those are fun.

And it also never fails that when the weather starts getting a little warmer, I put on a pair of sandals and then cringe, frown and get irritated. Why? Because the heels of my feet are a mess and no one needs to see that! I ignored them all winter and now it’s time to give them some attention.

It’s the same with my legs. They lack color and moisture and it’s just not pretty.

So, here’s the plan and it’s what I’ve done over the last week to get my skin ready for the sandal, skirt and shorts cuteness that makes me love spring.

Amlactin Foot Cream

Start with the feet

Cracked heels are a pain, both in the literal and visual sense, and they do not look good. What’s the point in wearing a cute pair of sandals or flip flops when your feet look like the Sahara desert?

Before you go to bed, put AmLactin Foot Cream on and then cover your feet with a pair of cotton socks. Now, if you’re a barefoot sleeper like me, you might fight against the sock idea, but I’m telling you – it makes a huge difference! The moisture gets locked in for as long as you’re asleep and the AmLactin foot cream is really able to do its thing.

Move on to the legs

After you shower either in the morning or night, pat your skin dry to the point where it’s still slightly damp and apply AmLactin Moisturizing Body Lotion. This product goes beyond your everyday lotion, which is what my legs beg for at the end of winter.

With the powerful alpha-hydroxy therapy this lotion features, it gently exfoliates and deeply moisturizes at the same time, revealing softer smoother skin.

My legs are finally starting to look ready for spring and this makes me feel a lot more confident breaking out those shorts and spring dresses. I love wearing dresses in the spring, but when my legs are dry I end up just putting jeans on and covering it all up.

Speaking of covering it all up…

Let’s talk about those arms

Do you have small itchy bumps on your upper arms? I do and I hate them. I can’t get them to go away completely, but I can do something to minimize them, as well as help with the itch.

My new companion and friend for my arms is AmLactin Hydrating Body Cream. This body cream packs a punch with their patented ULTRAPLEX® formula. It gently exfoliates, while also deeply hydrating.

If you have dry, rough, bumpy skin that’s associated with Keratosis Pilaris (“KP”), AmLactin Hydrating Body Cream will become your go-to lotion. I’ve done my fair share of research on KP, and while there is no cure, using the right product can make a world of difference and help give you the confidence (and maybe even get you excited) about wearing sleeveless shirts this spring.

Amlactin

Okay, are you ready to get your skin prepped for spring?! Be sure to visit AmLactin on Facebook for updates from the brand.

Uncover smooth, radiant skin with AmLactin Alpha-Hydroxy Skin Care. Its unique exfoliating and hydrating alpha-hydroxy therapy gently removes dead skin cells to reveal soft, hydrated skin. It’s the difference between skincare and skin therapy. AmLactin moisturizers are available on Amazon.com and at your local Target, CVS, Walgreens, Costco, Walmart, and Rite Aid.

One thing I want you to be aware of is because AmLactin products contain an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA), it might increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and result in sunburn. So be smart (as you always should) in the sun! Wear protective clothing and sunscreen especially while using AmLactin products and a week following. I don’t want any of my Mom Fabulous readers getting burnt!

  1. I would choose the Amlactin foot cream, I have really rough dry heals, its like nails on the bottom of my heel, lol.. I usually go get a pedicure a fw times a year. But wih money being tight I haven’t been able too this winter..

  2. I would love to try the AmLactin Foot Cream. My feet are always so dried and cracked! Only secret I have is to drink lots of water and I have used olive oil on my hands and lips when they are dry!

  3. I’d love to try the Ceraputic Restoring Body Lotion. My winter skin is horrible! I wash my hands a lot so they’re always dry – I massage a little essential oil on them every so often and put on a pair of gloves. I hate sleeping in them so I wait until I have time to sit and read for a few hours.

  4. I love Amalactin products. I have thin skin on my forearms and the body cream really helps by keeping them hydrated. I always keep an extra bottle. I have not used the foot cream but would very much love to add it to my hydrating routine.

  5. I would like to try the AmLactin Moisturizing Body Lotion. I have terribly dry skin.

  6. I would like to try the AmLactin Foot Cream. I’m a long distance backpacker and my feet need all the help they can get. I usually just soak them and apply lotion. I have no good secrets.

  7. Winter does terrible things to my heels so the AmLactin Foot Cream would be the product I most want to try. My skin secrets are scant. I do find it very important to read and research the ingredients before I buy or try a product. Some are too harsh for my sensitive skin. Also, I often find very expensive products are little more than mineral oil and “fragrance”. Amlactin has many great , effective ingredients.

  8. I WOULD LIKE TO TRY THE AM LACTION MOISTURIZING BODY LOTION….I HAVE REALLY DRY SKIN

  9. I would like to try the AmLactin Foot Cream. I don’t really have any skin care secrets to share.

  10. I would like to try the AmLactin Ultra Hydrating Body Cream. I use St. Ive’s Apricot Scrub to exfoliate the skin. It eliminates all the dead skin as well as blackheads, leaving my skin smooth and soft.

  11. I want to try their AmLactin Moisturizing Body Lotion. Only tip I have is to use sunscreen regularly.

  12. I would like to try the AmLactin Moisturizing Body Lotion as I have very dry skin.
