Since chopping off my hair, I’ve had a hard time coming up with hairstyle ideas. When it was long I would wear it in a bun, an up-do, a pony tail or down with long waves. Those days are long gone and lately I’ve missed having a quick and easy hairstyle for special occasions. After doing a little bit of experimenting, I now have a go-to hairstyle idea that I absolutely love. It’s quick. It’s easy. It only take 3 steps using three of my favorite Suave Professionals® products.
Here are 3 steps to a deep part with a side braid hairstyle idea.
Step 1: After washing hair with Suave Professionals® Sea Mineral Infusion Moisturizing Buoyant Body Shampoo and Conditioner, make a deep part in your hair. You can either go with the natural part in your hair like I did, or go against your natural part to create a look with more body. You want to create this deep part before you blow dry your hair.
The shampoo contains no heavy silicones and helps remove buildup, giving my hair 24-hour body and moisture making it easy to style. The conditioner gives my hair just the right amount of moisture, not weighing it down. So I have natural, healthy looking body and bounce. Not to mention it smells amazing.
Step 2: Prep with Suave Professionals® Sea Mineral Infusion Texturizing Sea Salt Spray.
For this look, I needed to add texture to my hair. It gives my natural curls some definition and full body waves that last up to 24 hours. I sprayed it all over my hair while damp, as well as another few sprays after blowing it dry. While blow drying your hair, make sure to focus on the deep part, blowing in the direction you have it parted, so it sets.
Step 3: Create a small side braid.
On the same side as your deep part, take a small section of hair and braid it. After you’ve braided it, take a couple of bobby pins and pin it back.
As you can see, my hair has great texture and very defined waves. The sea salt spray is my new magic hair secret. Or, not so secret anymore!
I’ve worn this look out to dinner and an event I attended. It’s fun to have a hairstyle that’s a little different from my everyday look.
