Oh Birkenstocks how I love thee. If I had any ounce of poeticness (that’s not a word) in me, I would write a poem about Birkenstocks. So, to answer the question to Birk or not to Birk, obviously my answer is YES. Sure, they’re not for everyone, but I’m a 90s girl through and through, so they are most definitely for me. (And yes, you will see me wearing these with socks come fall of 2016. So, there’s that to look forward to.)
The Birkenstock Arizona sandals are one of the newest pairs of shoes I’ve added to my ever growing (sorry minimalist hubs) collection for the spring and summer season. I can’t help it. I love shoes and they love me. My last pair, which I wore with these same slim cut white boyfriend jeans, I’ve been wearing more with skirts and dresses lately. They seem a bit dressier to me and work really well with those articles of clothing.
The great thing about making an investment in Birkenstocks, because I realize they’re pricier than some of you are used to spending on shoes, is they will last you forever. Seriously, I can probably hand these down to my great grandchildren when the Birks trend comes around again. 😉
Have I sold you on buying a pair? No? Yes? Either way, we can still be friends.
And if you’re curious about the boyfriend jeans I’m wearing, they are a slimmer cut and work way better than another pair I have, which make my butt look like the size of, well, something really big. This pair is almost a mix between the baggy boyfriend and the slimmer girlfriend jeans. What would that make them? I’m not sure.

The button up blouse and orange Jessica Simpson handbag came in my most recent LeTote. I’m not planning on keeping the handbag, because I could pretty much fit my iPhone 6 Plus in there and that’s about it, but I’m seriously thinking about keeping the shirt. I love the design, the fit and I think it looks really nice with white denim.
If I added a red handbag to this outfit, it would be perfect for Memorial Day, don’t you think?

I haven’t Birked yet but I kind of want a pair of Birks in a neutral color like black, tan or gold. Maybe I should buy some of the Target look-alike ones. They even had pretty floral ones last year. Great casual Spring look. Love your blouse and that crossbody bag. =)

I remember those floral ones! So pretty.
I have wide feet and I think Birks don’t help them look any cuter. I see others like you wearing them and I think “maybe” but then I’m like “naaaaah” However, digging through my things I found that I had a BRAND NEW PAIR that I bought in 2006 — but they are the one strap kind. I may rock those, let’s see 🙂
